Here's a list of shops and other services in or near Newport, Pembs. We've produced this because many times we've been asked for such information so people can order food or line up appointments prior to arrival. Remember that we can't be sure this information is right up to date, so if you find any errors let us know.

BANK: Lloyds, Market Street, Newport. Cashpoint. All the major banks have branches in at least one of the local towns (Cardigan, Haverfordwest or Fishguard)

DENTIST: Pen y Bont, Newport. Tel 01239-820083. This is a private practice and quite expensive.
DOCTOR: Newport Health Centre. Tel: 01239-820-397. The surgery is at the far end of the car park near the National Park Tourist Information Centre in Long Street. Our experience with them is excellent.
HARDWARE: (Including wet suits, beach gear etc) Havards, East Street, Newport. 01239-820-300 Recommended.
HOSPITAL: The nearest hospital is at Withybush (Fishguard Rd, Haverfordwest, SA61 2PZ) 01437 764545 (about 30 minutes away).

SUPERMARKET (large): TESCO, Cardigan is the closest large supermarket. Tel: 0845 6779120
Directions: Follow the A487 to Cardigan, take bypass signposted Aberystwyth.
Tesco is on the left up a hill, about 1/2 mile after you cross the river. More details here.
Open: 06:00-midnight, except Sunday 10:00-16:00.
